Sometimes people ask me, “Why space?”
The rocketship logo is fun, and launching is an effective metaphor for getting people unstuck, but there is more to the space theme than that. The symbolism of space can be summed up in two words:
limitless potential
50 years ago today, the Apollo astronauts landed on the moon and our concept of what was possible and achievable was forever expanded.
The Scottish band Looper captured it well in their song “Dave the Moon Man”:
"Anything you could think of
Anything you were stuck with
It could be done because that had been done
Someone had got up and gone to the moon
And nothing else was more impossible than that"
Our knowledge of space and the universe is still expanding. I recently had the pleasure of seeing Dark Universe at the Hayden Planetarium. I was awestruck by how much we've learned and that there is still so much waiting to be discovered. It’s incredibly exciting!
To me, every client and every project is a universe waiting to be discovered. When I show up to client meetings with my helmet, tools, and a rocket full of enthusiasm, I feel like one of those Apollo astronauts about to explore the unknown.
That’s why I chose space to represent my brand, and that’s why my company is called Launching Your Success. Because whether you’re ready to take a small step or a giant leap, I know that you are full of limitless potential. And I want the world to see it.
