I believe in the power of words. The right word at the right time can have a tremendous impact on your listener/reader. Witnessing that impact has made me a lover of words and put me on a mission to help people find their words.

This quirky little jam from the 90's indie-post-punk band Dismemberment Plan has long been a favorite source of motivation. At the heart of the song are those three simple words:
You. Are. Invited.
Three simple words that invoke powerful emotions. The implication of inclusion & permission is welcoming and overwhelming at the same time. It both invites and soothes fear. It gives you permission. Whatever it is, you can do it. But that means YOU have to do it. No more hiding behind the excuses. You are invited.
Whenever I catch myself hesitating, hiding, or worrying, I put on this song. Whenever I find myself thinking I Can't or I Shouldn't or I'm Not Ready, I put on this song.
Because I am invited. And so are you. For all time.
